With more than 20 years experience in solar energy, Sun Power Technology once again leaps into the future with the introduction of a brand new range of solar energy products. This remarkable 5th generation solar technology is the fruition of a joint venture between Germany and China. It came up trumps after stringent testing over the past couple of years under the severe climatic conditions in Northern China and Russia as well as in Europe. The innovative Pyrex-type glass vacuumed collector tubes were tested to withstand hail stones in excess of 30mm diameter, and boast an incredible 93% efficiency rating! Combined with the unsurpassed thermal properties of the geysers provided by SPT, we are therefore justifiably proud to announce the availability of these top notch international standard products for both domestic as well as industrial applications to the South African energy consumer.
  what is different?

Well.. gone are the days of inefficient, leaking solar panels and those unsightly black mats that freeze up in winter. Goodbye also to "if one part fails, the rest fail too". These interchangeable glass vacuum tubes never come into contact with the water, making it both safe and simple to maintain without interrupting the normal operation of the system. Should a vacuum tube accidentally be damaged, it can be replaced without affecting normal operation of the geyser. In fact, the unit can safely continue to function minus a tube or two until a replacement tube can be fitted. Impressed? So are we.. that's why we decided to take up the challenge to adapt the system even further for African extremes. Our particular conditions required the addition of a 220V backup system to keep the circulation pump running even during power failures. This backup system includes a 600W (1000W optional) UPS that can support a PC, TV, radio and emergency lighting for a period of time. In some cases, such as the ISOLL Aquarius split system, it also includes a custom designed heat exchanger that fits into your existing geyser, plus an ISOLL Luna control and monitoring system to regulate system performance.

    

Covered in icy sleet,  this ISOLL Aquarius goes into a hibernation period until it's closest friend, the sun returns. Totally unaffected by the sub-zero temperatures, it will simply shrug off it's chilly coat and continue where it left off..
